This three tier plant stand is a coated steel frame for displaying pots at three heights in a footprint of 61cm wide by 58cm deep. It stands 88cm tall, unfolds and slots together with no tools, and is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. It suits anyone with more pots than floor space: a courtyard, a balcony, a landing.

What it does

  • Three tiers from one footprint. A 61cm by 58cm base holds a group of small to medium pots that would otherwise take three times the floor space.
  • Heavy duty steel, not wire. The frame is coated steel worked in a scroll pattern, so it holds its shape under loaded pots instead of flexing.
  • Combines with itself. Stands can be used alone, paired side by side, or combined with corner units to carry a display along a wall or around a corner.

How to use it

Unfold the frame and slot the tiers into place on a level surface before you load it. Set the heaviest pots on the bottom tier and the lightest on top, which is what keeps a tiered stand steady outdoors. Small to medium pots are the size it is built around: an oversized pot overhangs the tier and lifts the centre of gravity.

Wipe it down with a damp cloth as needed. It is made for outdoor use, but any coated steel lasts longer out of constant rain and hard sun, so a verandah or a sheltered wall keeps the black finish looking right for longer.
