The Wooden Base Ceramic Pot is a round indoor planter in white ceramic, 250mm across and 245mm high, sitting on a solid acacia timber base. The ceramic is finished in a fine linear texture and each pot is handmade in Vietnam, so no two are quite identical. It holds about 11.8 litres, which is the right volume for a medium to large houseplant that has outgrown a smaller pot.

  • 250mm x 245mm. Round, 250mm across and 250mm deep, standing 245mm high, with roughly 11.8 litres of internal volume. It is built to take a 200mm nursery pot, which covers most medium to large indoor foliage.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. White ceramic with a linear textured pattern, set on an acacia timber base. Wipe the ceramic with a dry or barely damp cloth, and keep the timber dry, because standing water is what marks it.

Outdoors. This is an indoor pot. It has no drainage and the timber base is not built for weather, so keep it inside and away from splashing rather than testing it on a balcony.

Drainage. There are no drainage holes, no reservoir and no saucer included. Use a liner or leave the plant in its 200mm grow pot and drop it in, so you can lift it out, water it at the sink and let it drain before it goes back.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots ship empty, with plants and potting mix sold separately. Have the plant's grow pot or a liner ready so the 250mm pot can be styled the day it lands. Because it is handmade, your pot will vary slightly from the photograph in texture and glaze depth.
