White Harper Cylinder Pot

The White Harper Cylinder Pot is a tapered fibreglass planter in a white textured finish, made in four sizes from 280mm to 500mm across. Fibreglass is the reason to choose it: the scale and presence of a concrete or stone pot at a fraction of the weight, which matters on a balcony, a rooftop or any surface with a load limit.

Why you'll love it

• Fibreglass, not concrete. Lighter than concrete or stone alternatives, so even the 500mm can be carried into position rather than trolleyed in by two people.
• Height in every size. The smallest stands 45cm tall and the largest reaches 75cm, so the range lifts planting clear of paving and low walls.
• Texture with depth. The finish is subtly textured rather than glossy, giving interest up close without pulling attention from the plant.
• Reliable drainage. Built-in drainage and weather resistant construction, designed for outdoor conditions year-round.

Sizes and what fits in them

Four sizes, named for the width at the widest point. The form is tapered, so each is narrower at the base than at the rim.

• 280mm. 28cm across, 45cm high, roughly 25 to 30 litres. Decorative foliage and compact feature plants.
• 350mm. 35cm across, 55cm high, roughly 40 to 45 litres. Shrubs and single statement plants.
• 420mm. 42cm across, 65cm high, roughly 65 to 75 litres. Tall shrubs and slim small trees.
• 500mm. 50cm across, 75cm high, roughly 100 to 110 litres. Small trees, and the size that anchors an entry or a pool surround.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Fibreglass with a white textured finish. Rinse it with water or wipe it with a damp cloth, and leave it at that.

Outdoors. Weather resistant and made for year-round outdoor use in gardens, patios and courtyards. It is listed for indoor use too, so a matched pair can run from an entry path into a foyer.

Drainage. Drainage holes are built in and excess water leaves on its own. Indoors that means a saucer, which is not included. In a tall tapered pot, water slowly so the full depth of mix wets through.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots ship empty and unplanted, packed to protect the finish in transit. Site the pot before you fill it: the 500mm takes 100 to 110 litres of mix, and the weight advantage of fibreglass disappears the moment that is wet. Pots are delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
