The Mint Gavin is a round plastic planter with ridged linear detailing across the body, finished in a soft mint green. It sells in three sizes, 350mm, 460mm and 550mm across, and the largest holds enough mix for a small tree. Mint is a rare pot colour that stays quiet: it lifts a green planting rather than fighting it.

  • 350mm. 35cm across and 29cm tall, holding roughly 22 to 26 litres of mix. Decorative foliage and compact plants.
  • 460mm. 46cm across and 34cm tall, holding roughly 40 to 45 litres. Shrubs and statement plants.
  • 550mm. 55cm across and 45cm tall, holding roughly 85 to 95 litres. Large shrubs and small trees, with enough mix to carry moisture through a hot week.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Plastic, in a mint finish with the ridges moulded into the wall. Rinse it with a hose or wipe it with a damp cloth.

Outdoors. Weather resistant and intended for outdoor use year round, indoors as well if you want it. We hold no frost rating on file, so in frost prone districts treat it as a sheltered position planter. Expect the mint to soften after years of full sun.

Drainage. One built in drainage hole, and no saucer supplied. Add a saucer if the planter goes indoors or onto a finished deck, and sit it slightly proud of pavers outdoors so the hole is never sealed shut.

Planters ship empty and boxed, without plants, potting mix or saucers. Site the 550mm before you fill it, because once it holds 95 litres of wet mix it is a two person shift. The 350mm moves easily planted. Planters are delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
