Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Blue Holland Planter is a glazed ceramic pot in the traditional Holland shape, finished in a rich high gloss blue over a lightly textured body. It comes in four sizes from 240mm to 460mm, and the form is close to as tall as it is wide, so it holds far more soil than a bowl of the same diameter. If you want one pot to carry colour through a courtyard, gloss blue does it without needing a flowering plant to help.

Sizes and what fits in them

Four sizes, measured across the widest point.

  • 240mm, about 10 to 12 litres. Bulbs, compact foliage and small indoor plants.
  • 300mm, about 18 to 22 litres. Flowering annuals, herbs and mid sized foliage plants.
  • 370mm, about 40 to 45 litres. Feature plants and shrubs that will stay put for a few seasons.
  • 460mm, about 70 to 75 litres. Large feature plants and a single statement planting.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Glazed ceramic with a high gloss blue finish. Wipe it with a damp cloth or rinse it gently with water.

Outdoors. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Glazed ceramic is heavier and more brittle than composite or resin, so set it down carefully and give it a level base. We rate it for indoor and outdoor use, not as frost proof, so in hard frosting gardens move it under cover for winter.

Drainage. A drainage hole is built in. No saucer is included, so add one if the pot is going onto an indoor floor or a finished surface.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots ship empty and packed for transport, without potting mix. Ceramic travels well when it is packed properly, but it is worth unpacking on a soft surface. The 460mm size is the one to plan a lift for. Pots are delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
