Liquid Fertilisers
A liquid fertiliser is the fast option. Nutrients are available as soon as they are watered in, so plants respond sooner than they do to anything granular. The Plant Doctor liquids here each lean a different way, one all-purpose, one high in nitrogen and one high in potassium, and each carries humic acid to work on the soil as it feeds. Choose by what you want the plant to do next: grow leaves, or flower and fruit.

More information
Which liquid for which plants
- Activ8mate. The all-purpose liquid fertiliser and soil inoculant, made with fish, seaweed, humic and fulvic acids and trace elements. It is made for lawns, garden plants, vegetables, trees and natives, so one bottle covers a mixed garden.
- Activ8EXTRA. High in fast-acting nitrogen and enriched with seaweed, fish, and blood and bone. Use it where green growth is the goal: lawns, vegetable patches and leafy trees.
- Flowers, Fruits and Roots. High in potassium and buffered with humic acid, for the budding, flowering and fruiting stages of citrus, tomatoes, roses and native flowers. Reach for it when a fruit tree blooms well but sets little fruit, or when flowers drop early.
Each comes in 1L, 4L and 10L sizes.
Common questions
When is a liquid better than granules?
When you need speed: potted plants, vegetables, a mid-season lift and recovery after pruning. For a long, steady base feed, pair it with a granular or controlled release fertiliser.
Can I use liquid fertiliser on newly planted trees and hedges?
Yes, once they have settled and are showing new growth. At planting, a seaweed tonic is the gentler start. After that, regular light liquid feeds through the growing season push a young hedge along better than one heavy feed.
How often should I apply it?
Little and often through the growing season is the rule for any liquid. Follow the label rate for the plant you are feeding, apply to moist soil and ease off in the cold months when growth slows. Delivered Australia wide.
