White Maxim Drum Pot

The White Maxim Drum Pot is a straight sided drum planter in crisp white, made from lightweight fibreclay and sold in three sizes from 230mm to 420mm. The drum profile gives it more presence than a tapered pot of the same width, because the full width carries down to the base rather than narrowing away. Reach for it when you want a clean architectural shape rather than a decorative one.

Why you'll love it

• A shape that holds its own. Straight sides and a flat base give the drum a solid, architectural look that suits modern courtyards and entryways.
• Lighter than concrete. Fibreclay carries the look and durability of a heavy pot at a fraction of the weight, so a planted 320mm pot can still be moved.
• Subtle texture, not flat paint. The white finish is textured, so it catches light across the surface instead of reading as a plain white cylinder.
• Drainage built in. A moulded drainage hole keeps water moving through the mix, and no liner is needed.

Sizes and what fits in them

Three sizes are stocked, and the volume climbs quickly between them.

• 230mm. 23cm across and 20cm high, roughly 7 to 9 litres. Decorative foliage and compact plants, indoors or on a table.
• 320mm. 32cm across and 29cm high, roughly 22 to 26 litres. Feature plants and small shrubs.
• 420mm. 42cm across and 36cm high, roughly 45 to 55 litres. Shrubs and larger foliage plants with real structure.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Fibreclay with a textured white finish. It is strong and durable but noticeably lighter than a traditional concrete pot, which is what makes the larger sizes practical on balconies and elevated decks.

Outdoors. Rated for indoor and outdoor use, from gardens and courtyards to living areas and open plan interiors. Clean it with a damp cloth or a rinse, and set it on a stable level surface before planting.

Drainage. One built in drainage hole and no self watering reservoir. Keep the hole clear so water does not build up in the base, and use a saucer indoors, as none is included.

What to expect when it arrives

The pot ships empty and unplanted, packed to protect the white finish in transit. White shows marks, so unpack it onto a clean surface and avoid dragging it across paving. Position the 420mm size before planting rather than after. Pots are delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
