This heavy duty pot trolley takes the lifting out of moving a full pot. Three castors carry up to 75kg, and the extendable legs adjust from 270mm to 370mm to grip most round and square pot bases. It is the accessory that makes a large planter movable instead of permanent.

What it does

  • Carries 75kg. A large pot full of damp mix and a mature plant is well past a safe lift. The trolley takes the load and you steer.
  • Adjusts to the pot. The legs extend to suit bases from 270mm to 370mm, so one trolley covers a range of sizes rather than one.
  • One wheel locks. A locking castor holds the pot in position once it is placed, which matters on a sloping deck or balcony.
  • Built to sit outside. A powder coated frame in a neutral finish, running on plastic castors, rated for indoor and outdoor use.

How to use it

Set the trolley on level ground and open the legs out to match the base of the pot before loading. Tilt the empty or part filled pot on, centre it over the frame, then engage the locking wheel. Fill the pot once it is on the trolley rather than before, since that is the lift the trolley is meant to save you. The frame stands 80mm high and measures about 270mm square when closed, so allow for that extra height under a pot. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth as needed, and keep the locking wheel engaged whenever the pot is parked.

What it suits

Balconies and courtyards. Chasing the sun through the year, or pulling pots out of a hot westerly, is worth more to a container garden than any feeding routine.

Decks and paved patios. Lifting a pot off the surface stops the ring stain under a saucer and lets you sweep beneath it. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
