Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Black Isla Pot is an indoor ceramic pot in a soft matte black, carrying a leafy pattern pressed into the surface rather than printed on it. It runs from a 100mm desk size up to a 360mm floor pot, so one design can carry a whole room. Buy it when you want the pot to add texture without competing with the plant.

  • Pattern you notice second. The leaf motif sits in the same matte black as the rest of the pot, so it shows as shadow rather than decoration.
  • Matte, not shiny. A flat black finish takes glare out of a bright room and does not fingerprint the way gloss does.
  • One look in four sizes. Sold in 100mm, 170mm, 250mm and 360mm, so a shelf pot and a floor pot match.
  • Built for inside. Sealed with no drainage holes, which is what you want on a floorboard or a sideboard.

Sizes and what fits in them

Four sizes are stocked, named by pot diameter.

  • 100mm and 170mm. Desk and shelf scale. Suits small foliage plants, trailing pothos, peperomia and succulents in a bright window.
  • 250mm. The everyday size for a plant you have had a year or two. Around 22cm across and 25cm tall through the middle of the range, holding 9 to 11 litres of mix.
  • 360mm. About 36cm across and 36cm tall, holding roughly 35 to 40 litres. The floor pot for a fiddle leaf fig, a monstera or a mature palm.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Ceramic in a matte black finish, with the leaf pattern worked into the body. It has some weight to it, which is what keeps a tall plant upright.

Outdoors. Not an outdoor pot. It is made for indoor use, so keep it under cover rather than on an exposed balcony.

Drainage. There are no drainage holes and no saucer comes with it. Plant into a plastic grow pot, sit that inside the Isla, and lift it out to water so the excess runs away in the sink.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots ship empty and are packed to travel, with plants sold separately. Ceramic carries small differences in surface tone, so pots bought at different times read as a pair rather than as twins.
