How delivery to Macedon Ranges works

  1. 1Order online. Your confirmation email arrives straight away and the grower is asked to confirm your plants.
  2. 2Freight is quoted with multiple freight companies and passed on at cost, with no margin added. One truck carries a whole garden, so adding more plants from the same grower adds very little to the freight.
  3. 3You get the delivery window by email. Allow 3 to 7 business days from dispatch for potted plants, and a little longer at the far end of a regional run. The exact window shows on each product page and at checkout.
  4. 4Plants travel upright and arrive at your door. If one arrives in poor shape, send a photo within 30 days and we sort it out with a replacement or a refund.

Gardening in Macedon Ranges

The Macedon Ranges are cool, wet and frosty, with snow on Mount Macedon most winters, deep volcanic soils around Kyneton and Gisborne and warmer, drier ground down at Sunbury. The hill gardens grow the cold-climate classics, maples, rhododendrons, camellias, roses and conifers, and the lower towns suit bottlebrush, tea trees and abelia. Plant in autumn or spring, never into a frost.
