The Orbit is a slim, square solar bollard that gives a continuous band of light around its profile. It produces up to 1000 lumens from 84 dual colour LEDs and comes with an RF remote control for colour, dimming and timer settings. The 5W solar panel is built in, so it needs no mains power.

Why you'll love it

  • Warm white or cool white. The remote switches the light between warm white and cool white.
  • Dimming and timers. Brightness is adjusted with variable dimming, and there are four timer settings of 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours.
  • Automatic day and night operation. The light turns on at dusk by itself, with no switch to remember.
  • Aluminium and polycarbonate construction. The body is powder-coated aluminium in black with a UV-resistant polycarbonate diffuser, rated IP65 for dust and water protection.

Where to use it

The Orbit suits pathways, driveways, gardens and entertaining areas. Because it lights all the way around, it works well at a path junction, in the middle of a garden bed or at the corner of a deck, where a one-sided fitting would leave half the planting dark. Dim it and set it to warm white for an evening outdoors, or run it brighter in cool white along a driveway. It is wire-free, so there is no trenching and no electrician. Give it a position in direct sun to charge the 3.7V 4000mAh lithium-ion battery.
