Pest and Disease Care

Plant care starts with plant health: a well fed, well watered plant in decent soil copes with far more than a stressed one. This range is built around Plant Doctor Neem Plant Spray, made from certified organic, cold-pressed neem seed oil and supplied as a natural plant spray to support plant health, flowering and growth. The only real decision is the format: a concentrate you dilute yourself, or a pre-mixed bottle that is ready to use.

Concentrate or ready to use

The concentrate is 85% neem seed oil with 15% organic wetting agent. Oil and water do not mix on their own, so the wetting agent is already in the bottle and the oil disperses when it is diluted. It comes in 250ml, 1L and 4L sizes and suits anyone with a hedge, an orchard or a full garden to cover. The 750ml ready-to-use bottle is pre-mixed, which makes more sense for a courtyard or a few pots, where mixing a batch would be wasteful.

Cold pressing matters because it retains the vitamins, proteins and trace elements naturally present in the neem seed. The oil is organic and biodegradable.

Common questions

What is neem plant spray used for?

Plant Doctor supplies it as a natural plant spray to support plant health, flowering and growth. Read the label before use and apply it only as directed there.

How do I mix and apply the concentrate?

Dilute it with water at the label rate, shake well and spray to cover the foliage. As with any oil-based spray, apply in the cool of early morning or evening, not in the heat of the day, and test a small area of a soft-leaved plant first.

How else can I keep plants healthy?

Most trouble follows stress. Water deeply, mulch, and look after the soil: the seaweed tonics and soil conditioners in our garden care range are the place to start, especially for newly planted trees and hedges. Delivered Australia wide.
