All Season Pink Mandevilla

All Season Pink Mandevilla (Mandevilla 'All Season Pink') is a fast growing, twining climber that reaches 2 to 3m, with large, trumpet shaped, deep pink flowers and a slight yellow centre. It flowers from late spring to autumn, and often starts while still a small plant. It suits a trellis, arbour or sunny balcony in warm climates.

Growing All Season Pink Mandevilla in Australia

Position and climate. Full sun to part shade, in a warm position. It prefers warm climates, so it suits tropical and subtropical gardens and sheltered warm temperate ones. It is frost tender, so in cooler districts grow it in a pot and shelter it for winter.

Soil. Plant in well drained soil. In a pot, use a quality potting mix and give it a trellis to climb.

Water and feed. Mulch and water regularly until established, usually around 12 weeks. Provide plenty of water through summer heat, and fertilise with a slow release product in spring.

Pruning. Prune as needed to maintain its shape, and guide the stems onto the support. Wear gloves, because the milky sap can irritate skin, and keep the plant away from pets and children who might chew it.
