The Terrazzo Cube is a true square planter built on a fibreglass core wrapped in a real terrazzo shell, at roughly a quarter of the weight of traditional terrazzo. Seven sizes run from a 20cm cube holding 8 litres up to a 90cm cube holding 729 litres. Squares line up against a wall far more tidily than round pots, which is usually why people choose this one.
Listed as length by width by height, with soil volume and empty weight.
Material. A fibreglass core with a terrazzo shell, sold in the terrazzo finish only. The core gives it flex that solid terrazzo lacks, so it handles better, though a sharp impact can mark the shell and corners take the worst of it.
Outdoors. The surface weathers gently in the open and the speckle keeps its character with age. We hold no frost rating for it, so choose a sheltered spot in hard frost districts.
Drainage. Drainage holes are provided. Keep them clear, raise the cube on feet, and cover each hole with fibreglass flyscreen, never fabric or geofabric, which clog. Add 50mm of 10mm gravel, then a premium potting mix. Indoors it needs a saucer.
Cubes ship empty and packed for freight, dispatched in 2 to 5 business days. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95. Check corner clearance first: a 50cm cube takes 125 litres of mix, and filled it is not a pot you slide across a deck.
