The Fiskars 4 Prongs Xact Weed Puller lifts weeds out root and all from standing height, with no bending, no kneeling and no chemicals. Four stainless steel claws grip the root from every side, and a built in ejection system drops the weed again without you touching it. At 998mm long it is a full height tool.

What it does

  • Four stainless steel claws. The prongs grip from all four sides rather than levering from one, so the whole root comes up instead of the top snapping off.
  • Ejection system. A built in mechanism releases the weed once pulled, so you never handle it and the tool is ready for the next one.
  • Upright and ergonomic. At 998mm long, 300mm wide and 95mm deep, it is used standing, with no kneeling and far less strain on the back.
  • 25 year warranty. Fiskars back it for 25 years, a fair indication of how it is built.

How to use it

Work when the soil is slightly moist. Dry compacted ground fights back and the root snaps below the claws, while wet mud takes half the bed with the weed. The day after rain or a watering is the window.

Stand the claws over the crown, push down until the prongs are past the root, then tilt the handle back to lever the weed out. Release the ejection to drop it, and press the disturbed soil back with your boot. Rinse the claws after use and wipe them dry: stainless steel resists rust, but soil packed between the prongs holds moisture against the metal. Store it somewhere dry.
