Painted Lady Echeveria (Echeveria 'Painted Lady') is a compact rosette succulent for people who want colour without watering. How often should I water it?

Only once the mix has dried right through: every two to three weeks in summer, monthly or less in winter. Soft, translucent lower leaves mean too much water.

Why has my rosette stretched and gone pale?

Not enough light, indoors or in shade. Move it into full sun over a week or two so it does not scorch, and new growth tightens. The stretched section never shortens, so behead it and restrike the top.
