Yates Mancozeb Plus is a concentrate that works as both a fungicide and a miticide, combining mancozeb with wettable sulphur. One 150g pack makes up to 30 litres of spray, a great deal of coverage from a small pack. It is a contact product, used across vegetables, fruit trees, ornamentals and lawns.

What it does

  • Two jobs from one pack. The mancozeb works on fungal disease and the wettable sulphur component brings mite control, so a single application covers both.
  • Named diseases. It is sold to control petal blight, powdery mildew, rust and dollar spot. The label carries the full list and the crops the product is registered for.
  • Contact action. It protects the surfaces it lands on rather than moving inside the plant, which is why coverage decides the result.
  • Goes a long way. Up to 30 litres of made up spray from 150g of concentrate.

How to use it

Dilute with water according to the label directions and follow them exactly: the label is the only source for mixing rates, for the plants the product is registered on, and for any withholding period before harvest. Spray thoroughly so that every plant surface is covered, including the underside of the leaves, because a contact product only works where it lands. Apply at the first sign of disease or mite activity rather than waiting, and repeat as required. On anything you intend to eat, check the label before you pick.
