The GRC Cube is a straight sided square planter in glass reinforced concrete, in five sizes from 30 x 30 x 32cm to 57 x 57 x 57cm. Square in plan, it sits flush to a wall or into a corner where round pots waste space. The standard finish is a warm corten style rust, with ten sprayed colours behind it.
Outside dimensions, length by width by height, with volume and weight.
Material. Glass reinforced concrete: a concrete skin cast over glass fibre, which is why a 185 litre cube weighs 24kg.
Outdoors. Built for outdoor installation, commercial sites included. The weathering guarantee sits in the coating, not the concrete: Dulux Weathershield sprays are covered 15 years against blistering, peeling and flaking. No frost rating is published for the body, so keep it clear of standing water.
Drainage. It has drainage holes and they must stay clear. Raise it on feet, screen them with fibreglass flyscreen rather than fabric, which clogs, then add 50mm of 10mm gravel and premium potting mix, never garden soil. Choose plants suited to pots: aggressive roots damage any planter. Indoors, stand it on a saucer.
Pots ship empty and unplanted. Rust finish stock is dispatched in 2 to 5 business days; custom spray colours are made to order, allow 2 to 3 weeks. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95. Position the 57 x 57 x 57cm size before filling: 185 litres of wet mix is past a one person lift.
