Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Terrazzo Square Saucer sits under the cube and square planters in this range: a fibreglass core wrapped in a real terrazzo shell. That brings it to roughly a quarter of the weight of traditional terrazzo. Three sizes and eleven finishes are available.

What it does

  • Contains runoff on hard surfaces. It catches the water a square pot sheds, keeping it off tiles, decking and painted concrete.
  • Three sizes, all 4cm deep. 23 x 23cm at 2kg, 30 x 30cm at 3kg and 42 x 42cm at 4kg, measured across the outside.
  • Real terrazzo, light to handle. The genuine terrazzo shell gives the stone look and texture; the fibreglass core takes the weight out.
  • Eleven finishes, custom colour included. Take the standard terrazzo, or a Dulux Weathershield custom spray with a 15 year guarantee against blistering, peeling and flaking. Almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour can be matched for an extra $60.

How to use it

Measure the base of the planter, not its widest point, and choose the saucer that clears it. Figures above are outside dimensions.

Stand the pot on feet inside the saucer instead of flat, so water leaves the drainage holes freely. Tip the saucer out after a heavy watering, and after rain if the planter is outside. Within the pot, cover the holes with a single layer of fibreglass flyscreen, never fabric or geofabric, because both clog, then add a 50mm layer of 10mm gravel and a quality premium potting mix rather than garden soil.

What it suits

Cube and square planters. Matching the shape supports the corners and keeps the base within the footprint of the pot.

Entries and indoor rooms. Feature planters usually stand on the most expensive flooring in the house.

Covered outdoor areas. Verandahs and balconies see less rain but still take the full watering load, so runoff needs somewhere to go.
