Plant Doctor Seaweed Secrets is a concentrated liquid seaweed made from Ascophyllum nodosum kelp, with humic acid and fulvic acid added. It is used as both a plant tonic and a soil conditioner on lawns and gardens, from a plant's early stages through to full bloom.

Why you'll love it

  • Kelp is the base. Ascophyllum nodosum is naturally rich in more than 70 minerals, along with amino acids and plant growth hormones.
  • Humic and fulvic acids are added. These improve nutrient availability, root development and soil structure.
  • It conditions the soil. Seaweed Secrets improves soil structure, increases moisture retention and supports beneficial soil organisms.
  • For lawns and gardens alike. It is used on vegetable patches, flower beds and fruit trees as well as on buffalo and kikuyu lawns.

How to use it

On home lawns and gardens, apply 1ml per sqm, which is 100ml per 100 sqm, diluted in water, fortnightly or as required. For spot treatment, mix 35ml in 10L of water. It can go onto the soil or the foliage; check for staining first on sensitive plants. On lawns, apply after mowing and leave 8 to 12 hours before mowing again. With a backpack or pressure sprayer, water in lightly afterwards. It mixes with most fertilisers and soil conditioners, but not with iron-based products.

What's in it

Cold-processed Ascophyllum nodosum kelp extract with humic acid and fulvic acid. It is low in the major nutrients (0.04 to 0.07% nitrogen and 0.05 to 0.15% phosphorus), so it supplements a fertiliser program and does not replace it.

Sizes

  • 1L. For pots, garden beds and a small lawn.
  • 4L. For larger lawns and gardens, or regular applications through the year.
  • 10L. The bulk size for acreage and large areas of turf.
