Tuscan Path Snow White Stone is a decorative aggregate of 20 to 25mm natural stone, supplied in a 20kg bag. Spread as a surface layer it gives beds, pots and pathways a clean white finish and helps restrain weed growth underneath. It suits gardeners and landscapers after a crisp, modern look that does not need replacing at the end of every season.

What it does

  • Permanent surface coverage. Unlike an organic mulch, stone does not break down, so a single application keeps working instead of needing an annual top up.
  • Restrains weeds. Laid as a surface layer it helps hold weed growth back in garden beds and landscaped areas.
  • Graded 20 to 25mm. Large enough to stay put and read as a deliberate finish, rather than the fine gravel that migrates onto paths underfoot.
  • Natural stone. Each piece is different, so the surface has variation in it rather than the flat uniformity of a manufactured product.

How to use it

Clear the area of weeds and debris first. Stone will not kill an established weed, it only limits what germinates afterwards, so anything left in the ground will push straight back through. Spread the stones evenly to the depth you want and level them off.

The bag is sold by weight at 20kg rather than by area, and the ground it covers depends entirely on how deep you lay it, so work out your square metres and the depth you want before ordering. Once it is down the upkeep is minimal: rake it back into place occasionally and lift out fallen leaves.

What it suits
