The Graphite Villa Trough Pot is a long, low polypropylene planter in a flat graphite finish, sold in 600mm and 800mm lengths. Plastic keeps it light enough to lift and reposition on a deck or balcony without help. Choose it when you want a run of planting rather than a single specimen.

  • 800mm: 797mm long, 387mm wide, 340mm high, about 35 to 40 litres. Mixed plantings, flowering displays, or low screening plants where you want structure without a hedge.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Polypropylene plastic in a graphite finish. It is not self watering, and saucers are sold separately.

Outdoors. UV resistant and frost resistant, so it is built for full sun and cold nights rather than one good season. It also suits covered indoor areas. Rinse it with water or wipe it down with a damp cloth when dust dulls the finish.

Drainage. It has drainage holes, and they work properly only when the trough sits level. A long pot on an uneven surface drains at one end and stays wet at the other, which is the usual reason a run of herbs goes patchy. Indoors, or on finished timber, stand it on a saucer.
