12-Month Plant Protection
A full year of cover for the plants on your order
Every order has our free 30 day healthy plant guarantee. 12-Month Plant Protection extends it to a year from delivery: if a covered plant dies of natural causes despite correct planting and care, we replace it once, free. It is offered in the cart on the way to checkout and priced by the value of the plants on the order.
What it costs
One price per order, set by the value of the plants
Add it in the cart when you check out. The cart picks the band for you from the plants in your order; pots, garden goods and freight do not count.

Covered
A covered plant that dies within 12 months of delivery
- Every plant line on the order the cover was bought with
- Planted within a reasonable time after delivery, at the right depth, in soil that drains
- Watered while it establishes and kept within its listed climate
- Death from natural causes: the plant fails to establish, declines and dies despite that care
- One replacement per plant, the same plant and size where we can supply it, else the closest equivalent or store credit for the plant's price
Not covered
What the cover does not do
- Neglect, lack of water, waterlogging or poor drainage
- Extreme weather: frost, heatwaves, storms, flood, fire
- Animal, pest or disease damage after delivery, and damage by people or machinery
- Plants left in their pots for weeks, moved, transplanted or pruned hard
- Plants used outside their listed climate zones
- Pots, garden goods, gift cards and services; plants added to the order after the cover was bought
- Freight on the replacement plant, which the customer pays
The cover is a replacement, not a refund, and it does not change your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
How to claim
Four things and we take it from there
Sooner is better: a plant that is struggling can often be saved with advice before it is lost.
In the subject line of your email to sales@nurserynearme.com.au, or through the contact form. The cover is on the order, so we see it straight away.
The whole plant, the base of the stem and the soil around it. Photos are what we assess from.
When it went in, how deep, how it has been watered. We reply with the replacement arrangements or a practical fix.
Common questions
12-Month Plant Protection
Do I need it if I already have the 30 day guarantee?
The 30 day guarantee is free on every order and covers the first month, which is when most problems show. Plant protection is for the eleven months after that: the first summer, the first winter, the slow decline that only shows at month three. It is optional.
How is the price worked out?
By the value of the plants on your order: the cart adds up the plant lines, ignores pots, goods and freight, and picks the band. One price covers every plant on that order.
Can I add it after I have ordered?
No. It is bought with the order so the cover and the plants match. Place the order with it added, or email us before the plants are dispatched and we will add it to the order.
What arrives when a plant is replaced?
The same plant and size where we can supply it, otherwise the closest equivalent or store credit for the price you paid for that plant. The replacement plant is free; you pay the freight to get it to you.
Does it cover a hedge of fifty plants?
Yes. Every plant line on the order is covered, and each plant can be replaced once. The price band is set by the plant total, so a bigger order sits in a higher band.
Is it a refund?
No. It is a one-time replacement of a plant that dies despite correct care. Refunds for plants that arrive damaged or in poor condition are handled under the 30 day guarantee and the refund policy, as always.
