The Oates Slimline Sweep is a handled outdoor broom with extra stiff bristles and a narrow head, built for sweeping hard surfaces where a wide broom will not fit. It measures 280mm wide, 1440mm high and 40mm deep, on a powder coated steel handle. This is a detail broom rather than a bulk broom.
Sweep with short strokes and let the stiffness of the bristles do the work rather than leaning on the handle, because pressing hard splays the filaments and shortens the life of the head. Work debris into a line first, then collect it, instead of chasing it across the whole surface. On tennis court lines and paving joints, sweep along the joint rather than across it. Rinse the bristles with water when dirt builds up, and let them dry fully before storing. Store it hanging or standing upright, never resting on the bristles.
