The Double Pink Knock Out Rose (Rosa 'Double Pink Knock Out') is the rose for people who want roses without the ritual. Growing the Double Pink Knock Out in Australia

Position and climate. Six hours of sun minimum, as with any rose. It performs in subtropical, warm temperate, cool temperate and Mediterranean climates; in humid coastal summers its disease resistance is exactly what you want.

Soil. Any decent garden soil with drainage, improved with compost at planting. Mulch 75mm deep, clear of the crown.

Water and feed. Water deeply twice a week for the first summer, then weekly in dry spells. Feed with a rose fertiliser in early spring and again at midsummer to fuel the repeat flushes.

Pruning. Cut the whole bush back by about a third in late winter, with shears or hedge trimmer. Nothing else is required; it sheds spent blooms on its own.

Yes, that is the entire breeding goal of the Knock Out family. No deadheading, no spraying in normal seasons, one annual cut. It behaves like a flowering shrub that happens to be a rose.
