The Nylex 5L Rechargeable Battery Shoulder Sprayer does the pumping for you. A lithium ion battery holds steady pressure for up to 120 minutes of continuous spraying, so the pattern coming out at the end of the tank is the same as the pattern at the start. That consistency is worth more than the effort it saves.

What it does

  • Constant pressure, no pumping. The battery holds pressure automatically, removing the fade that leaves the last litre of a hand pumped tank going on lighter than the first.
  • Two hours on a charge. Runtime is up to 120 minutes of continuous use, and a full recharge takes around 240 minutes through the supplied USB cable and Australian adaptor.
  • Reach and precision. A stainless steel telescopic lance extends up to 60cm and carries an adjustable brass nozzle, so the output can be set from a fine mist to a stronger stream.
  • Made to stay outside. UV stable tank and fittings, a transparent tank with readable measurements, a wide filling opening and a two year guarantee.

How to use it

Charge the battery fully before first use, then fill through the wide opening, watching the measurements on the transparent tank so the mix is right. Spray on demand with the switch on the handle, and set the nozzle pattern before you begin rather than halfway along a bed. The padded strap is adjustable and takes the weight of five litres off your arm. Rinse the tank, lance and nozzle with clean water after every use, particularly after herbicide, and store it out of direct sun with charge in the battery.

Feeding and foliar work. Liquid fertilisers, tonics and treatments go on evenly across beds and lawn, which is exactly where inconsistent pressure shows up as striping.
