Garden Basics 1L Weed Kill Concentrate is the workhorse bottle for the parts of a garden where weeds keep winning. It is non-selective and non-residual, so it kills weeds down to the root, then breaks down in the soil rather than leaving the ground sterile.
Mixing. Dilute to the label rate table, which differs for annual weeds, established perennials and woody regrowth. Half fill the sprayer, add the concentrate, top up and agitate. Mix only what you will use that day.
Application and timing. Spray actively growing weeds on a still, mild morning, wetting foliage evenly to runoff. Drought stressed or freshly mown weeds take up very little. Avoid wind, hot sun and rain within the label rainfast period. Expect yellowing in about a week and full brown off in two to three.
Care around desirable plants. It damages anything green it touches, including lawn and the green bark of young trees. Use a shielded nozzle or cardboard along garden edges and keep pressure low so the spray does not drift.
Driveways, paths, paved joints, gravel, fencelines and the perimeter of sheds, tanks and buildings. It is not a lawn weeder: for weeds through turf you want a selective product.
