The Pompeii Belly Lotus Pot is hand crafted, double fired ceramic carrying the black and white volcanic texture the range is named for. It comes in four sizes, from 24 x 16cm up to 60 x 45cm, quoted as outside dimensions. The bellied profile flares well past the base, so a single plant reads as a set piece rather than another cylinder in a row.

Material. Hand crafted, double fired ceramic, finished by hand, so the pattern and the balance of black to white shift from piece to piece.
Outdoors. The range suits indoor and outdoor positions. We do not rate it as frost proof, so in frost prone districts move the 24cm and 38cm sizes under cover through winter.
Drainage. It has drainage holes, and they only work if you keep them clear. Raise the pot on feet, cover the holes with one layer of fibreglass flyscreen (never fabric or geofabric, both clog), add 50mm of 10mm gravel, then fill with premium potting mix rather than garden soil. Indoors, stand it on a saucer.
Pots ship empty and unplanted, packed for transit, and are dispatched in 2 to 5 business days. Expect the pattern to differ from the photographs. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95. The 60 x 45cm size is heavy once filled, so choose its position first.
