The Riley Bullet from Northcote Pottery is a tall tapered planter in an antique white textured finish, 300mm across the top and 530mm high. It holds about 37 litres of mix, a real plant's worth of root room in a footprint the size of a dinner plate. Being moulded plastic rather than concrete or clay, one person can carry it up a stairwell.

Drainage. A drainage hole is included and no saucer is supplied, so add one for an indoor floor or a finished deck. A tall pot drains unevenly, so use a quality free draining mix and water slowly enough that it soaks through rather than running down the inside wall.
