Tuscan Path White Pebbles are a decorative aggregate graded at 30 to 50mm, supplied in a 15kg bag. Spread as a surface layer they lift a bed, a pot or a path with a clean white finish, and they help restrain weed growth at the same time. This is the budget option for covering an area properly rather than sprinkling a token handful.

What it does

  • Covers once, stays put. A single application gives permanent decorative coverage. Unlike bark or straw there is nothing to break down and top up each season.
  • Restrains weeds. Used as a surface layer the stone shades the soil and makes it harder for weed seed to establish.
  • Graded 30 to 50mm. Large enough to stay in place under rain and a hose, and coarse enough to read as stone rather than gravel.
  • Indoors or out. The same bag works in a courtyard bed, a pot in the living room or a decorative water feature.

How to use it

Clear the area of weeds and debris first, because anything left underneath will come back through. Spread the pebbles evenly to the depth you want, working as a surface layer rather than mixing them into the soil. At 30 to 50mm the stone is large, so a shallow single stone layer covers more ground than a deep one and still looks finished.
