Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Green Studded Pot is a glazed ceramic planter in a deep green, with a raised studded texture around a rounded body. It is sold in four sizes, from a 200mm pot holding about 5 to 7 litres of mix up to a 520mm size that takes 110 to 125 litres. Drainage holes are moulded in, so you can plant straight into it rather than hiding a grower pot inside.

Why you'll love it

  • A glaze that stays glossy. The green is fired into the ceramic rather than coated on, so it holds its depth of colour and rinses clean with a damp cloth.
  • Genuine root room. The two largest sizes hold 55 to 65 litres and 110 to 125 litres, enough for a shrub or a small tree to sit for years without repotting.
  • Stable once placed. Ceramic is heavier than plastic or resin. That is a nuisance to carry and an advantage afterwards, because a tall plant in an exposed courtyard will not tip.

Measured across the widest point, with approximate soil volumes.

  • 200mm wide, 20cm high, about 5 to 7 litres. Compact foliage, or a single colour plant beside a step.
  • 310mm wide, 31cm high, about 22 to 26 litres. Feature houseplants and small shrubs.
  • 410mm wide, 41cm high, about 55 to 65 litres. Established shrubs, a dwarf citrus, a shaped topiary.
  • 520mm wide, 54cm high, about 110 to 125 litres. Large shrubs and small trees, or a matched pair at an entry.

Caught between two sizes, take the larger. More mix means a more forgiving watering routine.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Glazed ceramic, round, with the studding formed in the body of the pot. No saucer is included, and the same design is made in a white glaze, sold separately.

Outdoors. The glaze is intended for outdoor use, so gardens, patios and entryways all suit it, and it is equally at home indoors. Set it on a level, stable surface before you fill it.

Drainage. Drainage holes are included. Keep them clear, use a free draining potting mix, and stand the pot on a saucer indoors.

Pots are dispatched empty and boxed with the rim and base protected. Plants are not included. The 520mm size is a two person lift once it is full, so decide where it is going before you add mix. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
