Yates Dynamic Lifter Organic is an all purpose pelletised fertiliser that feeds plants and improves the soil at the same time. This is the 17.5kg bag, the size you buy when you are feeding a whole garden rather than a few pots. It is allowed for use in organic gardening, and it is gentle enough for Australian natives as well as everything else in the bed.

What it does

  • Feeds slowly. Nutrients are released gradually rather than in one hit, so growth is steady and there is no surge and stall.
  • Improves the soil itself. The organic content builds soil structure and moisture holding capacity, which matters most on sand and on tired, worked out beds.
  • Wakes up soil life. It encourages earthworms and beneficial soil micro organisms, and that biology keeps working long after the pellets have gone.
  • Organic ingredients. Blood and bone, fishmeal and seaweed, pelletised so it spreads evenly and stays where it lands.

How to use it

Spread the pellets evenly over the soil surface around the plants, keeping them off foliage and away from stems and trunks. Water in lightly straight after application so the pellets begin to break down and the nutrients move into the root zone. Under mulch, rake the mulch back, apply to the soil, then pull it over again. Application rates vary by plant type and by area, so follow the rates printed on the bag rather than guessing. Reapply as part of a regular feeding program through the growing season.
