Seasol Garden Soil Mix is a ready to use garden bed soil in a 25 litre bag, blended with compost and organic matter, a slow release fertiliser, a wetting agent and Seasol GOLD. It is the mix for rebuilding a tired bed or backfilling a planting hole without buying four separate products.

What it does

  • Feeds for up to four months. The slow release fertiliser carries balanced nutrients and trace elements, so a new planting is not waiting on its first feed.
  • Treated with Seasol GOLD. That treatment is there to reduce transplant shock and get roots moving out into the surrounding soil.
  • Water stays in the root zone. A wetting agent is blended through, which matters most in the weeks when a bed is still settling and drying unevenly.
  • Red Tick certified. The blend meets Australian premium standards, which is the difference between a genuine soil mix and screened fill.

How to use it

Dig it through the existing soil rather than laying it on top. Good mix sitting on poor ground creates an interface roots are reluctant to cross, so the point is to lift what is already there. A 25 litre bag spread 50mm deep covers about half a square metre, so a two square metre bed improved to that depth takes four bags.
