This twin pack holds two 2 litre bottles of Seasol Super Soil Wetter and Conditioner with a hose-on applicator, which turns a soil treatment into a job you do while watering. It improves water penetration into hard, dry soils, and because it is boosted with Seasol liquid seaweed and liquid compost it conditions the soil at the same time.

What it does

  • Breaks down water repellency. Soil that has dried out hard sheds water off the surface. The wetting agent lets moisture soak in and reach the roots.
  • Less run off, less waste. Rainfall and irrigation both go further once the soil accepts them, which is worth more in a dry season than extra watering.
  • Nutrient uptake improves. Fertiliser only works when it dissolves and moves to the root zone, so wettability and feeding are linked.
  • Stays active for many months. One application through the applicator holds soil performance well beyond the day it is applied.

How to use it

Attach the applicator to a hose and apply evenly over the soil, following the directions on the bottle for coverage. Work systematically rather than aiming at plants, since the bare baked patches between them are where water is lost. Water normally afterwards, which carries the treatment down and takes moisture with it.

Dry ground is best treated before the hot months rather than during them. Two bottles allow a second pass later in the season if the soil is still shedding water.
