Richgro Urea is a straight nitrogen fertiliser in a 4kg bag, and one of the most concentrated solid forms of nitrogen available to a home gardener. Applied and watered in, it delivers nitrogen quickly, driving leaf growth and deep green colour. It is a lawn greener and a corrective, for use where a plant is clearly short of nitrogen rather than as a routine feed.

What it does

  • Concentrated nitrogen. A small quantity carries a lot of nutrient, which makes it economical and makes accurate measuring essential.
  • Fast leaf response. Nitrogen is the growth nutrient, and urea makes it available quickly, so tired foliage picks up colour and vigour in short order.
  • Lawn greening. Turf is the classic job for it, and an even application brings colour back through the whole sward rather than in patches.
  • Support for foliage plants. Palms, ferns and anything grown for its leaves respond to nitrogen ahead of any other nutrient.

How to use it

Apply evenly over the soil or lawn area, keeping the spread genuinely even, then water in thoroughly. Watering is not optional with this product. It moves nitrogen into the soil and protects foliage and turf from concentrated granules sitting on them.

Application rates are printed on the pack and the label directions must be followed. Over-application of a product this strong burns lawns and plants, so measure the area, measure the product, and reapply only as required to maintain leafy growth.
