Richgro Black Marvel Tomato and Vegetable Food is a liquid concentrate for the productive part of the garden, formulated for tomatoes and all vegetable crops. It is absorbed quickly through both leaves and roots, and the 1 litre bottle makes up to 450 litres once diluted. Vegetables are fast, hungry and short lived, which is exactly the job a liquid feed does best.

What it does

  • Nitrogen for growth. The leafy framework a crop has to build before it can carry fruit comes from a high nitrogen feed.
  • Potash for cropping. This is the nutrient behind flowering and fruit set, the point at which a tomato either produces or sulks.
  • Iron for leaf colour. Fast acting iron deepens the green and lifts plants that have gone pale halfway through the season.
  • Taken up fast. Uptake through both leaves and roots means a visible response within days rather than weeks.

How to use it

Dilute according to the label directions before applying. The bottle carries the rates for soil and foliar use, and they are worth measuring properly: an over strong liquid feed on young vegetables does more damage than a missed feed ever will.

Water the made up solution over the root zone, or spray the foliage when you want the fastest response.
