The Rust Harper Egg Pot is a lightweight fibreglass planter in a tapered egg form, finished in a textured rust tone and offered in five sizes from 260mm to 540mm. The earthy colour sits well against brick, timber and stone, and because it is fibreglass rather than concrete you can lift a large one into position on your own.

  • 310mm. 31cm across and 31cm high, about 22 to 26 litres. Compact outdoor plants and small feature specimens.
  • 370mm. 37cm across and 37cm high, about 38 to 42 litres. Feature plants and shrubs.
  • 440mm. 44cm across and 44cm high, about 70 to 80 litres. Large shrubs and small trees.
  • 540mm. 54cm across and 54cm high, about 130 to 145 litres. Small trees and long term plantings.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Fibreglass with a textured rust finish. Clean it with a rinse or a damp cloth; it needs no sealing and no annual treatment.

Outdoors. This pot is specified for outdoor use only, not indoors. It is weather resistant and intended for year round exposure, though the existing specification makes no frost claim and we will not add one.

Drainage. Drainage holes are built in, so excess water leaves rather than sitting around the roots. No saucer is included, and none is needed outdoors on soil, gravel or a free draining surface.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots ship empty, packed without soil or plants, and no liner or insert is required. Set the pot on a stable, level surface before you fill it, because even the 440mm holds 70 to 80 litres of wet mix and will not be moved easily afterwards. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
