Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Sage Green Palm pot is a handcrafted stoneware planter with a palm frond pattern pressed into the surface and a muted sage glaze over the top. It is made in Portugal by a family owned ceramic specialist and comes in three sizes: 140mm, 160mm and 200mm. Stoneware is non porous and fully waterproof, so it can stand on a floorboard or a sideboard without marking it.

Why you'll love it

  • Waterproof stoneware, not decorative earthenware. The clay is fired dense and glazed, so it holds water rather than seeping through to the surface underneath.

Sizes and what fits in them

Measured across the widest point, with approximate soil volumes based on internal dimensions.

  • 140mm wide, 13cm high, about 1.2 litres. Compact indoor plants and small trailing foliage, on a desk or a shelf.
  • 160mm wide, 16.5cm high, about 2.5 litres. Leafy houseplants, small ferns and peace lilies at their first repot.
  • 200mm wide, 20cm high, about 4 to 5 litres. A feature houseplant on a floor or a plant stand.

Step up one size at a time. A plant swimming in too much mix stays wet at the roots.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Ceramic stoneware with a sage green glazed palm texture. Small differences in finish are normal rather than a fault. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Outdoors. Rated for indoor use and for protected outdoor areas such as balconies and covered courtyards, away from heavy rainfall. It is not a pot to leave in the open through a wet summer.

Drainage. There are no drainage holes, and that is the one thing to plan for. Drop the plant in inside its plastic grower pot so you can lift it out to water and drain it. No saucer is included, and none is needed.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots are dispatched empty and boxed with the rim protected. Plants are sold separately. The 140mm size is light enough to carry in one hand, while the 200mm has real weight once a plant and mix go in. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.
