The Thai Limestone Fluted Torquelstone Pot is a hand made outdoor vessel from Thailand, finished in a softly aged limestone glaze and carved with vertical fluting that catches low sun. It is made in one size, 85cm by 85cm and 70cm high.

  • No published volume or weight. Fill it in stages with bagged mix and treat it as a heavy lift.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Limestone glazed ceramic, hand made and hand finished. Tonal variation across the fluting and an untrue rim come with the process rather than being defects.

Outdoors. Sold as an outdoor pot. We publish no frost rating for the Thai limestone range, so in cold inland and tableland gardens treat it as you would any glazed ceramic and never let water sit in the base over winter.

Drainage. Keep the drainage holes clear and stand the pot on feet so water escapes. Cover them with a single layer of fibreglass flyscreen, never fabric or geofabric, which clog. Lay 50mm of 10mm gravel, then a premium potting mix rather than garden soil, and stick to plants suited to containers: aggressive roots damage any planter.
