The Selecta Poly Tilt Garden Cart carries 235 litres in a tilting poly tray, which puts it well past wheelbarrow territory. It tows behind a ride-on mower on a drawbar and universal hitch pin, or converts to a push cart on its dolly wheel. This is a cart for acreage and long driveways.

What it does

  • Unloads by tipping. The tray tilts, so a full load of soil or green waste goes where it is meant to without being shovelled out by hand.
  • Two ways to move it. A drawbar and universal hitch pin connect it behind a ride-on mower, and the dolly wheel turns it into a push cart.
  • Pneumatic tyres on steel rims. Air tyres absorb ruts and paddock ground that would stop a solid wheel, and the rims take the weight.
  • Coated steel throughout. Chassis and handle are powder coated steel with fitted grips, which is what decides how long a cart like this lasts.

How to use it

It requires assembly before first use. Hitch it to a ride-on with the supplied drawbar and hitch pin, or drop the dolly wheel and push it. Load toward the middle of the tray: 235 litres of wet soil is a serious weight, and an unbalanced tray fights you on every turn.

Hose the tray down after use, keep the tyres at pressure because a soft tyre drags badly under load, and store it undercover. The cart measures 1220mm long by 960mm wide by 320mm high.

What it suits

Acreage and rural blocks. Ongoing property maintenance is where the capacity pays for itself, since 235 litres is close to three loads from a standard 80 litre barrow.

Firewood runs. Heavy, bulky loads move in one trip instead of four, and the tilting tray saves stacking the same wood twice.
