Professional Planting Installation (Per Plant)

This is planting for stock you already have on site, whether it came from us earlier or from somewhere else. It is priced per plant by pot size, so you pay for the plants you actually want in the ground rather than an hourly rate you cannot forecast.

What you get

• The hole dug to the right size. Wide rather than deep, so roots move out into the surrounding soil instead of circling in a narrow pit.
• Planted and backfilled. Set at the correct depth, firmed, and the root ball watered in properly rather than sprinkled.
• Slow release fertiliser. Applied at planting, at the rate the plant size calls for.
• Temporary drip irrigation. Run to the new plants to carry them through establishment, which is when most losses happen.
• Full clean up. Pots, bags and spoil removed at the end of the job.

How it works

Pricing by pot size. Tiers run from $8 for a tube to $2,200 for a 300L to 400L specimen. Choose the tier matching each plant, and add one unit per plant. Where a pot size sits between two tiers, use the nearest tier at or above it. Plants sold in packs count individually, so a pack of ten tubes is ten units.

Minimum charge. A $300 minimum applies per installation job, because travel and setup cost the same whether the crew plants five plants or fifty.

Before the day. Have the plants on site and watered, and mark out where each one goes. The crew plants to your layout rather than designing it.

What is quoted separately. Stock over 500L and ex ground trees need machinery and a larger crew, so they are quoted on the job.

Who it suits

Plants that have been sitting too long. Stock held in its pot past the right planting window loses ground quickly, and getting it planted properly is usually cheaper than replacing it.

Larger jobs you do not want to do by hand. A long hedge run or a bed of advanced stock is heavy, repetitive work where consistent depth and spacing genuinely change the result.

Site conditions we assume. Normal access for a person with a barrow and soil that can be dug by hand. Rock, builders rubble, heavy compaction, steep ground or restricted access all change the job, so raise them before booking.

Service area. Installation is available across South East Queensland and the east coast down to Sydney.

Common questions

How do I count plants sold in packs?

Each plant counts as one unit at its own pot size. A pack of ten 140mm plants is ten units of the 100mm to 140mm tier.

What if my pot size is not listed?

Use the nearest tier at or above your size. A 160mm pot takes the 175mm to 250mm tier rather than the smaller one.

Is the planting guaranteed?

The workmanship is ours. The 30 day healthy plant guarantee applies to plants supplied by us, so it does not extend to stock bought elsewhere.

Can you plant into rock or heavy clay?

Usually, but not at this price. Tell us the ground conditions before booking and it is quoted on the job.
