The Premium Glaze Dimple Jar is a large double fired ceramic jar in a single size, 70 x 87cm, offered in ten hand applied glaze colourways. The dimpled wall breaks up light across a big surface, which stops a jar of this scale reading as a plain drum. At 32 kg empty it is a permanent placement, not a pot you move with the seasons.

  • Planted low instead. Succulents or a spilling groundcover leave the dimpled surface as the feature.
  • Left empty. At 87cm tall it works as a standalone piece beside a pool or at the turn of a path.

Outdoors. Made for outdoor positions, colourfast through summer and frost resistant.

Drainage. Keep the holes clear and raise the jar on feet so water escapes freely. Cover the holes with a single layer of fibreglass flyscreen, never fabric or geofabric, which clog. Add a 50mm layer of 10mm gravel, then a premium potting mix rather than garden soil. Choose plants suited to containers: aggressive roots can damage any planter.
