The Heavy Duty Extendable Pot Mover is a wheeled steel frame that sits under a large pot so you can push it instead of lifting it. The frame adjusts to suit pot bases from 330mm to 510mm, stands 90mm tall and is rated to 100kg, and all four castors lock.

What it does

  • Rated to 100kg. That covers a large pot full of damp mix with a mature plant, well past a safe lift for most people.
  • Adjusts from 330mm to 510mm. One frame suits a wide span of pot bases, so it is not tied to a single planter.
  • Four lockable castors. Roll the pot where you want it, lock the wheels and it stays there instead of drifting across a deck.
  • Powder coated steel. A grey hammertone finish, rated for indoor and outdoor use, on a low 90mm profile that stays out of sight under the pot.

How to use it

Minimal assembly may be required. Measure the base of your pot before ordering, because the frame only adjusts between 330mm and 510mm and a narrower foot will not sit securely on it. Set the mover on level ground, open the arms out to the pot base, then place the pot on it while it is still empty.

Lock the castors as soon as the pot is in position, particularly on a sloping courtyard or a deck. Wipe the frame with a damp cloth, and check the locks before you move anything heavy. The 100kg rating covers the pot, the mix and the water together, and wet potting mix weighs far more than dry.

What it suits

Moving without lifting. Large pots on balconies, courtyards, patios and indoor floors, where you want to chase the sun through the seasons, sweep underneath or rearrange a group without emptying anything first.

Saving your surfaces. Rentals and hard floors. Rolling a planter beats dragging it across timber or tiles.
