The Charcoal Outdoor Garden Up Pot is a shallow plastic trough from the Jack Garden Up Mix'n'Match range, made to carry herbs and potted colour in tight outdoor spaces. It is sold in one size, 49.5cm overall length by 17.5cm deep and 14cm high, in a flat charcoal finish. The integrated watering system is the point: you fill it through a hole in the front face, and the saucer built into the base holds the excess.

  • Shallow rooted plants only. No soil column here for shrubs or anything with a taproot. Think basil, coriander, chives, lettuce and low bedding colour.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Moulded plastic in a charcoal finish, light enough to lift and reposition even when planted and watered.

Outdoors. Weather resistant and specified for outdoor use. There is no published frost or UV rating for this pot, so we do not claim one. In a hard frosting district, treat it as a sheltered position planter.

Drainage. This one is deliberately not free draining. The integrated saucer holds the excess rather than letting it run straight through, which is the point above a walkway or someone else's balcony. Watch the level in wet weather and tip it out if a downpour fills it.
