It measures 370mm wide, 255mm high and 270mm deep, and it runs an integrated self watering system, so a row of herbs on a hot balcony does not dry out the moment you go away for a weekend.   • Not for. Shrubs, small trees or anything with a deep root run. At 270mm deep this is a shallow planter.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Steel with a neutral finish, fitted with an adjustable grip and invisible clips. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth as required.

Outdoors. Designed for outdoor use on fences, railings, balconies, courtyards and patios. It can also be used indoors in covered areas, though it is built for the fence line.

Drainage. Drainage holes are included alongside the self watering system. Top the reservoir up rather than saturating the mix from above, and remember that water leaving a mounted planter runs onto whatever sits below it.
