Scotts Osmocote Mist+Feed is a ready to use foliar plant food for indoor plants, supplied in a 236ml trigger spray bottle. Nutrients go in through the leaf rather than the potting mix, which suits houseplants in dry, air conditioned rooms where root uptake slows. There is nothing to measure and nothing to mix.

What it does

  • Feeds through the foliage. A balanced indoor formula is absorbed by the leaf itself, so a plant sitting in tired mix still gets fed.
  • Carries micronutrients. Trace elements come with the main nutrients, and trace elements are where indoor foliage most often runs short.
  • Works quickly. Scotts rate visible improvement in as little as 7 days.
  • Odourless and non staining. It can be used on a shelf or a bench without leaving a smell or marking the surface underneath.

How to use it

Mist the leaves lightly and evenly, both faces, until they are damp rather than dripping. Do not spray the flowers. Apply weekly, or whenever a plant looks flat and needs a lift, and carry on with normal watering, because this feeds the plant rather than replacing the watering can. The bottle is ready to use, so there is no dilution rate to get wrong, which is the usual failure point with liquid feeds. Wipe dust off the leaves first so the mist reaches the leaf surface.
