Richgro Black Marvel Rose and Flower Food is a high analysis granular fertiliser for roses and flowering plants. It is high in potash with added iron and balanced trace elements, and a built in soil wetter carries the feed down to the root zone. The 2.5kg bag is for gardeners who want more flower out of established plants rather than more leaf.

What it does

  • Potash led formula. Potassium is the nutrient behind flowering, and this blend is built high in it to lift bloom numbers and colour rather than push soft foliage.
  • Deep green foliage. Added iron supports leaf colour and strong root development, which is what carries a plant through a heavy flowering season.
  • Trace elements balanced in. The minor nutrients are accounted for, so a plant fed on this is not left short somewhere else.
  • Fast, then steady. The granules are highly soluble, so the feed starts working quickly and then keeps feeding gradually for up to two months.

How to use it

Apply evenly around the base of the plant, covering the whole root area rather than a tight ring against the stem, then water in well. Watering activates both the nutrients and the soil wetter, and it is the step most people skip.
