Installation Note:
Supplied in reinforced wire baskets lined with hessian. Trees must be planted in their baskets to maintain root integrity. The hessian and wire break down naturally. Orientation markers are provided for species requiring directional planting.
Do I plant the tree in its wire basket?
Yes, always plant the tree in its basket to protect the root ball. The materials break down safely in the soil.
How well do these trees establish on-site?
Very well. They're root-pruned and treated before dispatch to ensure strong, fibrous root systems and low transplant stress.
What’s the watering schedule after installation?
Water once weekly for the first month (150–200L per tree), then fortnightly for six weeks. After establishment, minimal watering is required.
How are the trees delivered and installed?
Trees arrive basketed and strapped. If using a crane truck, they can be placed directly into pre-dug holes on site.
What should we do if the soil has poor drainage?
If drainage is an issue, raise the root ball slightly and add coarse gravel beneath it. Testing with a 300mm deep hole pre-planting is recommended.
