Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

The Terracotta Vibia is a round, gently tapered outdoor pot made in Holland by Elho from recycled plastic, using 100 percent wind energy. Four sizes run from 300mm at roughly 14 litres of mix up to 550mm at roughly 90 litres. It is UV stabilised and frost resistant, which is the reason to pick it over fired clay in an exposed garden.

Sizes and what fits in them

Four sizes, listed by outside diameter, with height and approximate soil volume.

  • 300mm, 25.8cm high, about 14 to 16 litres. Herbs and compact outdoor plants, or a small grass by a doorway.
  • 400mm, 33.4cm high, about 30 to 35 litres. The workhorse size, right for a feature plant or a native shrub.
  • 470mm, 40.4cm high, about 55 to 60 litres. Larger shrubs, with the depth to keep roots cool through summer.
  • 550mm, 47cm high, about 85 to 95 litres. A small tree or an advanced shrub needing long term root run.

Material, weathering and drainage

Material. Recycled plastic with a smooth terracotta coloured finish. It gives the tone of clay without the weight or the brittleness, and it will not spall the way porous terracotta can.

Outdoors. This one is specified for outdoor use only, and built for it: designed to withstand sun, rain and frost. Rinse or wipe it clean as needed, and stand it on a level surface before planting.

Drainage. Drainage holes are included so excess water escapes freely. No saucer is supplied, and as the pot is not intended for indoor use, that is no problem outside. Fill with a premium potting mix rather than garden soil.

What to expect when it arrives

Pots ship empty and boxed, with plants sold separately. Delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95. A 400mm pot is a comfortable one person carry empty and takes roughly 30 to 35 litres of mix, so order the mix with it and pot up in position.
