Can I get a colour that is not listed?

Yes. StoneLite, GRC and Terrazzo pots can be custom sprayed in almost any Dulux or Colorbond colour for an extra $60. Contact us before ordering.

Terracotta Italian pot feet lift a pot or trough clear of the ground so water can drain away and air can move underneath. They are made from traditional terracotta with a natural unglazed finish, and they are equally at home indoors and outdoors. Three feet under a pot is the arrangement that gives a stable, level lift.

What it does

  • Stops the pot standing in water. Drainage holes pressed flat against paving cannot drain. Raising the pot clears them and prevents water pooling underneath.
  • Moves air under the base. Airflow beneath the pot keeps the bottom of the mix from staying permanently saturated, which is where roots suffer first.
  • Protects the surface below. Tiles, concrete and decking pick up marks and staining from a pot left sitting flat. A gap prevents it.
  • Plain terracotta. Natural unglazed clay sits quietly against traditional and modern pots alike rather than competing with them.

How to use it

Three sizes are offered: 70mm, 80mm and 90mm. The small foot measures 27mm wide, 40mm high and 70mm long; the medium 35mm wide, 60mm high and 95mm long; the large 75mm wide, 60mm high and 95mm long. Match the foot to the pot, because a small foot under a heavy planter puts too much load on too little clay. Set three feet in a triangle just inside the edge of the pot base, spaced evenly, then lower the pot on and check it does not rock. Brush soil off or rinse them with water as needed.

What it suits

Patios, courtyards and balconies. Hard surfaces where a pot would otherwise leave a permanent wet mark, and where drainage water needs somewhere to go.

Pots and troughs in garden beds. Lifting a container off soil keeps the drainage holes open and stops the base sitting in mud after heavy rain. Pot feet are delivered Australia wide, with delivery from $29.95.

Not a substitute for a saucer indoors. On timber or carpet, pair the feet with a saucer: the feet supply the airflow, the saucer catches the water.
